Book #1: The Santa Suit

The Santa Suit by Mary Kay Andrews is this adorable, festive book that will give you the feeling of hope, magic, love and friendship.

Every year around Christmas, I like to read one Christmas story to get me into the mood for the holidays. I am one of those who doesn't like to talk Christmas until after Thanksgiving but I saw this at Costco and I couldn't resist to buy it. I bought a few different books but this was the one I wanted to start with.

It took me two days to read this book. It was a very quick read with a sweet story. There are multiple stories that all connect one way or another.

The main character, Ivy Perkins, was starting a new life in a small town. You see her make friendships, and build this new life for herself with her beautiful dog, Punkin.

I don't want to give too much away but this book has a beautiful meaning of love and friendship and how if you help others, others will help you. I didn't want to put this book down. I honestly wish there was a sequel to this book. I'd love to know what happens to the character past the holiday season.

I give this story as 9.75/10. I really want to give it a 10 due to the sweetness and relatability of the story. How well it all flows and the fact that you never get lost or bored reading it. The only reason for the .25 deduction is a personal manner. The author refers to characters by full name more times than needed. I personally hated that but it did help me at the way end of the book for a sub-character that you haven't heard mentioned in several chapters, but for main characters, I get it. I know who so and so is. Thank you.

This is a book that I definitely would recommend to anyone! I got it at Costco for $8.99! Score and it was well worth it. Now onto book #2!
